With over 40 years of experience working with Ohio SR22s, we know all the ins and outs of the Ohio BMV Suspension System. Rick Silverman, our CEO, began working with SR22s as a young agent in 1976. He was a natural for the business having a recent BA degree in Psychology and an intense desire to help people. Rick bought his first agency, A-1 Insurance Agency, in 1981 and quickly become the state’s first Drivers License Suspension Specialist. With Rick’s direction and funding, LONO PROGRAMMERS were able to develop the first workable comparative rating program for high risk drivers. This was the grandfather to today’s ultra technical insurance marketplace. Rick also helped establish the Shaker Heights Municipal Court Remedial Driving Course and served as an instructor and consultant. Under Rick’s direction, A-1 Agency grew to one of the largest non-standard insurance agencies in Ohio. A-1 was eventually purchased by Permanent General Insurance Company and used as their Direct Sales platform to launch A-1 General which is known today simply as “The General”.
